University Lectureship in Animal Ecology, Department of Zoology

The Department of Zoology encourages applications to join us as a Lecturer in Animal Ecology. Your research will be in an area of ecology, in its broadest sense. You may have interests in any aspect of the ecology of animals including behavioural ecology, evolutionary ecology, the ecology of the microbiome as it pertains to animals, population and community ecology, the ecology of conservation, marine ecology, chemical ecology or molecular ecology. You will have an excellent research record and be passionate about teaching.


The Department of Zoology ( provides an exciting research and teaching environment with a strong sense of cooperation and community. Our research covers a broad range of animal biology. We have excellent facilities to support both field and laboratory based experimental research together with theoretical work. The Department has an outstanding embedded Museum of Zoology and close links with the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI). The Department has a thriving graduate student community and contributes to undergraduate courses across the Natural Sciences Tripos.
