Salary
£36261 to £48677 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.


The University of Nottingham has both teaching and research interests in the microbial sciences with an emphasis on food production in the School of Biosciences – from farm to fork and beyond.

 

Teaching into both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes the role holder will contribute to the delivery of cutting edge teaching in the areas of Microbiology and Biotechnology. Their research portfolio will align to the strengths of the current foci within the group on all aspects of microbiology, which includes animal disease, food-borne disease, zoonoses, environmental microbiology, fermentation technology and the developing area of the gut microbiota.

 

We are seeking applications from people with a PhD in microbiology or related subject, with proven ability to produce high quality research in microbiology and to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant subjects.

 

This role is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
