Dalhousie University is inviting applications for a full-time, probationary tenure-track faculty position in Virology in the Department of Microbiology &Immunology, Faculty of Medicine. The appointment will be made at the rankof AssistantProfessor. Candidatesmusthave a PhD or MD degree and a strong record, for their career stage,of innovative research investigating fundamental and/or applied aspects of virology. The successful incumbentwillbe expected todevelop a collaborative research program that complements Infection, Immunity, Inflammation & Vaccinology (I3V) researchat Dalhousie and affiliated Health Centres (for example, Canadian Centre for Vaccinology). Using diverse virus systems, local investigators explore such areas as oncolytics, vaccines, antivirals, immune responses, virus-host interactionsandviral engineering. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in their areas of expertise.
