£52560 to £62727 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University of Nottingham, which has a global reputation in food-related research, is seeking a senior academic to join the leadership team of the Food Structure and Biomaterials Research Group within the Division of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics. You will be responsible, together with a highly capable team, for driving forward innovative teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, pioneering research and dynamic business engagement initiatives. You will have an excellent research track record and a convincing plan to integrate your research interests in order to complement and enhance the current activities within the team and more broadly within the Division.  You will liaise effectively with different stakeholders and collaborators within and outside the University to achieve School and University strategic objectives. 

Our world class facilities, such as a comprehensive food pilot production facility, and unrivalled ‘Food Material Science’ and ‘Food Flavour Science’ research labs will provide you with the environment to flourish and to build a fulfilling career at a global top-100 university.  Food is a research priority area for the University and you will work closely with the Future Food Beacon of Excellence which addresses a range of global research goals such as ‘Developing Sustainable Societies’ and ‘Health and Wellbeing’.
