Percentage of employment will vary according to number of courses taught. Positions may be part-time or limited duration appointments not to exceed one year without a further competitive search. Appointments potentially can be extended following a favorable performance review after first year of lecturing appointment. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and pool will remain active for one year. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled. Duties: Teach lecture, laboratory, and/or field courses in biology, ecology, evolution, behavior, marine biology, mammology, herpetology, vertebrate biology and morphology and other topics as needed; plan and coordinate discussion activities for multiple sections of courses; supervise course teaching assistants; manage the acquisition and maintenance of course materials; supervise student projects; and maintain office hours. Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in the biological sciences; demonstrated experience in undergraduate teaching at the university level; experience with laboratory instruction in the biological sciences. Level of appointment and salary commensurate with qualifications, experience and duties.
