Project

Members of the Ras superfamily of small Gproteins are involved in regulating almost all cellular processes. With twentymembers, Arl proteins comprise the largest group of the Arf family of small Gproteins. Arl proteins have been implicated in disease and their depletioncauses dramatic changes in cell physiology, but their function and regulationremains largely obscure. The PhD student will be partof a team that use biochemistry, structural biology and cellbiology approaches to illuminatethe function of thiscrucial but still understudied protein family.
