Postdoctoral Position in Biomedical Engineering
Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Biomedical Engineering

Introduction to the Supervisor:

Zhang Chunfu, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Biomedical Engineering, honorary professor of Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to School of Medicine, SJTU. The research group mainly focuses on multimodal molecular imaging diagnosis and treatment of tumor based on nanotechnology. At present, it is undertaking a number of research projects, such as NSFC projects, key projects of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and sub-projects of national major R&D plan.

Recruitment position:

We plan to recruit postdoctoral students in the following directions: (1) research on multimodal molecular imaging nanoprobe technology and cancer diagnosis and treatment; (2) regulation and metastasis inhibition of nano material tumor immune microenvironment ; (3) radioactive drugs and clinical application research.


(1) Has obtained or is about to obtain a doctor's degree, be in good health, and aged under 35;

(2) Engaged in research in the above-mentioned related fields, and has published more than 2 high-quality research papers;

(3) With good coordination and communication skills as well as teamwork spirit.

Job responsibilities:

Engage in relevant research in the above fields, and strive to produce high-level research results; Independently carry out research projects, write papers in English and apply for research funds.


1. According to relevant regulations of SJTU(, candidates will be given competitive salary of no less than 240,000yuan per year. In addition, candidates will be supported to apply for relevant national and Shanghai post-doctoral talent programs:

(1) Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Program: for full-time Chinese candidates who have obtained doctor's degree in China within three years, the state will grant the selected candidate 630,000 yuan each year for two consecutive years, including 400,000 yuan as postdoctoral living expenses, 200,000 yuan as postdoctoral research fund and 30,000 yuan as international exchange funds;

(2) Shanghai Super Postdoctoral Incentive Plan: for post-doctors who have obtained doctoral degrees at home or abroad, Shanghai will provide the financial support of 150,000 yuan/year for two years, and the school will provide supporting funds of no less than the same amount. Post-doctors who are selected into the "Bo Xin Program" will also be directly included in this program, and Shanghai government will grant them 100,000 yuan per year for two years;

(3) Candidates will be encouraged to apply for other suitable talent projects and research funds, and will be supported to participate in international exchange and project cooperation programs.

2. Other benefits such as settlement and children's enrollment shall be implemented according to relevant policies of Shanghai Municipality and SJTU.

3. At the end of the first employment term, those who have achieved excellent scientific research achievements and meet the school's application qualifications can directly apply for the long-track teaching post.
