We invite applications for the position of Professor for Agro-ecosystem Research Station, Field
Science Center for Northern Biosphere (FSC), Hokkaido University (HU) as follows.

5. Qualifications
(1) PhD at the time of appointment
(2) Outstanding achievements and publications in the research field
(3) Strong motivation for education, research and other duties related to the management of the

(4) Ability to give lectures in the graduate and undergraduate courses both in Japanese and English

6. Teaching Responsibilities
• At the School of Agriculture: Teaching undergraduate students in Department of Agrobiology
and Bioresources [exercises (Agricultural Practice), lectures, laboratory work, seminars, etc.]
• At the Graduate School of Environmental Science: Teaching master's and doctoral students in
the Division of Biosphere Science (lectures, laboratory work, seminars, exercises, etc.)
• General education: Teaching undergraduate students in HU

7. Other Obligations
• Participation with strong motivation and responsibility for the management of Agro-ecosystem
Research Station and field research facilities belonging to FSC. Achievement of relationship
with the local community through the social educations

Three Months

In accordance with to the National University Corporation Hokkaido University Specially
Appointed Academic Staff Working Regulations and National University Corporation Hokkaido
University Internal regulations on the Application of Annual Salary System
