The University is now inviting applications from outstanding candidates for appointment to the new position of Professor of Artificial Intelligence in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FBMH).

 

This appointment is being made in support of Digital Futures, the University’s strategic response to the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital revolution. The Digital Futures programme brings together a multidisciplinary community of over 850 researchers from across the University’s three faculties.

 

The successful candidate will assume a leadership role in artificial intelligence within the faculty. They will have significant opportunities for intellectual interaction and collaboration with other leading researchers including through the University’s partnership with the Alan Turing Institute.

 

Candidates will bring a distinguished track record of research within a relevant field of artificial intelligence, along with proven research leadership experience and the ability to generate and lead interdisciplinary collaborations and to apply their expertise to challenges in the health and care sector.
