Position Function The Research Associate will work under the supervision of Professor Abigail Snyder in the Department of Food Science. The role involves advanced quantitative and microbiological research, data analysis, modeling, and bioinformatics, as well as mentoring students and contributing to manuscript development. Major Research Areas The Research Associate will contribute to projects including: Modeling of cross-contamination Quantitative microbial risk assessment Covalent organic framework development Genomic data analysis Statistical analysis and experimental design for produce and dairy industries Meta-analyses and systematic reviews The role requires designing research studies, conducting experiments (primarily computational), analyzing data, managing digital lab resources, developing proposals, publishing in high-impact journals, and presenting findings at conferences.
