The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware (UD) invites applications for a one-year temporary faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (renewable up to three years in total, subject to department needs and satisfactory performance), starting January 14th, 2020. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one of the areas of physiology, biostatistics, molecular biology, and/or immunology. Minimum qualifications for the position are a completed doctoral degree in Biological Sciences or a related field, prior to appointment, and a demonstration of teaching interest and experience.


Responsibilities include teaching upper level lecture courses, experimental laboratory courses, development of curriculum, and administrative tasks. The position may also include Department, College and University service. This position offers a strong, supportive setting for teaching in the environment of an active research Department.
