Job DescriptionThe Department of Biology at the College of Science, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Fish and Fisheries Biology at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek a dynamic and innovative scholar specializing in fish biology, fisheries science, marine ecology, or related fields. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, establish a competitive, externally funded research program, supervise student research, and engage in service to the department, college, university, and broader community. Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: • Fisheries stock assessment and management • Marine biodiversity and conservation • Population dynamics and modeling • Climate change impacts on marine systems • Sustainable fisheries and aquaculture • Fish physiology, genetics, or molecular ecology • Coastal and marine ecosystem assessment
Minimum QualificationApplicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualification-Experience working in marine and/or arid-region aquatic ecosystems. -Strong quantitative skills and experience with fisheries modeling tools. -Active international research collaborations. -Experience in interdisciplinary research and industry engagement.
