The Project Scientist will develop and execute experiments training transgenic mice on virtual reality visual perceptual tasks in combination with optogenetics and cell-type specific and area-specific ablations. The scope of responsibilities spans developing new and automated behavioral training paradigms for head fixed mice, designing and executing optogenetic and chemical genetic ablation experiments on mice trained in the behavioral training paradigms, as well as sophisticated behavioral analysis including eye tracking.
