Applications are invited for a NIHR Clinical Lecturer in either Clinical Genetics (Department of Medical Genetics ) or Endocrinology & Diabetes Mellitus (Wellcome Trust-MRC Institute of Metabolic Science (IMS)).

This post offers unrivalled opportunity to undertake high quality research within an outstanding academic and clinical environment. Applicants should be medically qualified, have full GMC registration, and an existing NTN/NTN(A) in Clinical Genetics or Endocrinology & Diabetes Mellitus.

You are required to hold or have submitted a PhD/DPhil/MD at the time of your application, and be of the standing required for an appropriate honorary contract of service with the NHS LETB (specialist trainee/LETB).

Candidates who have not submitted their PhD/MD at the time of application will not be considered.

The appointment will be for four years and the offer will be subject to the confirmation of the award before commencement in post.

Salary Scales

  • £33,790pa - £59,765pa StR

  • £33,221pa - £57,522pa SpR

  • £37,935pa - £48,075pa Nodal (ST3 and above)

This appointment requires an Honorary Clinical Contract. This is an integrated appointment between the University and relevant NHS Trust / Body. You will therefore also be issued with an Honorary Clinical Contract by the NHS Trust. You should be aware that if your contract with the NHS Trust is terminated your employment with the University will be terminated, and vice versa.
