The CiM-IMPRS Graduate Program at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill up to 16 positions for

Doctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, salary level TV-L E 13, 65%)

commencing on 1 October 2025. We are offering the fixed-term part-time positions (65% FTE) for 3 years.

CiM-IMPRS is a joint graduate program of the Graduate School of the Cells in Motion Interfaculty Center (CiM) at the University of Münster and the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) - Molecular Biomedicine ( www.cim-imprs.de ). The program is jointly run by the University of Münster and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine.

The PhD program offers excellent research and teaching in molecular and cellular life sciences with a strong emphasis on imaging. The program is open to graduates of the biological sciences, chemistry, mathematics, computer sciences and physics.

Your tasks:

  • Performing research work as a member of the CiM-IMPRS graduate program according to project plans to be discussed with the head of the work group
  • This position is tied to working towards a doctorate.

Our expectations:

  • For the positions at the biology, chemistry and physics departments, candidates must hold a master's degree (or equivalent) in the natural sciences. For the positions in the mathematics or computer sciences departments, candidates must hold a master's degree in mathematics/computer sciences.
  • Excellent command of the English language is required. German language skills are not a requirement for the positions.
