We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic person to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Life Sciences with a particular emphasis on Developmental Biology, Stem Cell Biology and Molecular Biology.

You will contribute to teaching undergraduate courses at 3rd year and Honours year, and Masters programmes. The courses are taught mainly on the University of Aberdeen Foresterhill campus. You will deliver lectures, tutorials and practical laboratory courses. Lectures, tutorials and practical laboratory courses will be in the scientific area of Developmental Biology, and developmental biology-relevant Genetics and Biochemistry. You will also act as course coordinator for DB3503 The Early Embryo, third year course. This post is available for 1 year funded by the Royal Society and the Leverhulme Trust.

You will have a PhD in developmental or molecular biology or a closely related discipline.

You will have experience of teaching at UG and PGT levels.

You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good team-working, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Salary will be paid on the Grade 7 salary scale (£40,792 per annum) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

As this post is funded by the Royal Society and Leverhulme Trust, it is available for a period of 12 months.

Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and a 12 month probation period.
