DUTIES

The Faculty of Science is seeking a Lecturer in Biological Sciences to lead the course in Principles of Biology I which has students examine the molecular basis of cellular processes including energy transfer and the storage and use of genetic information.

 

General Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and deliver lecture across a range of Biological Sciences topics/subjects
    1. Molecular biology
    2. Genetics
    3. Biochemistry
    4. Cellular anatomy and function
  2. Grade student submissions and exams throughout the semester.
  3. Hold weekly office hours and respond to student enquiries in a timely manner.
  4. Consult with faculty to ensure similar content delivery across sections of the course.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. An appropriate Masters required; Doctorate preferred
  2. Demonstrated theoretical and professional knowledge of the discipline
  3. Demonstrated competence with relevant course content
  4. Sound knowledge and demonstrated application of best teaching practices
