At the Division of Neurological Sciences, Vetsuisse Faculty, University Bern, a PhD student position is available on the interaction between Listeria monocytogenes and bovine microglia in neurolisteriosis.
Tasks
About the project:
Comparative dissection of survival and persistence mechanisms of Listeria monocytogenes in bovine microglia and monocyte-derived macrophages.
Requirements
• Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Biology or related fields • Enthusiasm for research in neuroinfectious diseases, interest in vet molecular labwork and bioinformatics • Intrinsic motivation, strong team spirit and good communication skills
