A PhD position is open immediately at the chair of Human Biology under the supervision of Dr. Anita Annaházi. The research topic covers the effect of faecal proteases present in irritable bowel syndrome on enteric neurons. The project involves human faecal samples and is mainly based on neuroimaging techniques on guinea pig colon. The student will get a 3-years funding with a salary of 65% TV-L E 13. The applicant must have an MD, DVM or MSc in biology or similar degree. Other requirements are good hand skills (experience in tissue preparation and electrophysiology is an advantage), good analytical skills and knowledge in statistics, being familiar with Windows Excel, Word, Power Point. The person should be highly motivated, interested in research, be a team-player and able to work independently. Fluent English speaking and writing skills are necessary.
