Crop Breeding & Genomics Group of the Institute of Plant Sciences, University of Bern (Switzerland) seeks applications from motivated individuals for the position of Postdoc Researcher to support activities in the group where molecular and bioinformatics tools are applied to improve the under-researched crop tef (Eragrostis tef). Tef is economically important cereal crop from the Horn of Africa due to its adaptation to diverse extreme climatic and soil conditions and also tolerance several pests and diseases. In addition to its nutritional advantages, the grain of tef is free of gluten, a substance found in wheat and other cereals for which high number of people are allergic.
