Position Summary

The Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics (B&B) engages in methodological and collaborative research, providing international and regional leadership in:

  • Biostatistics

  • Genomics

  • Biomedical informatics

  • Artificial intelligence

  • Health data science

The department is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Associate to join Dr. Wenpin Hou’s research team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement novel computational and statistical methods including:

    • Deep learning and transformers

    • Spatiotemporal data modeling

    • Functional data analysis

    • Bayesian models

    • Network modeling

  • Analyze complex datasets in genomics and data science, including:

    • Single-cell genomics

    • Epigenomics

    • Multiomics

    • Spatial transcriptomics and multiomics

  • Integrate and analyze multimodal data sources (imaging, multiomics, and other real-world data) to address challenges in omics and health research.

  • Contribute to publications in high-impact journals and conferences.

  • Advise graduate and undergraduate students within Dr. Wenpin Hou’s research group.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Quantitative Biology and Medicine


Appointment Details

  • Full-time, 12-month position with the possibility of renewal
