Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Enzymology and Synthetic Biology
Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology
China

Lab introduction:

The Laboratory of Molecular Enzymology and Synthetic Biology is affiliated with the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Metabolism, SJTU. The research team is composed of Professor Feng Yan (team leader, chief scientist of 973 project, executive vice president of School of Life and Biotechnology, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory), researchers Yang Guangyu, Cui Li, as well as associate researchers Zhang Yong and Liu Qian. The laboratory has been engaged in the research of enzyme molecular evolution engineering and synthetic biology for a long time. It has achieved substantial achievements in the fields of enzyme structure-function relationship analysis, new enzyme molecular design, construction and optimization of multi enzyme reaction pathway. In order to improve the selectivity, catalytic efficiency and environmental adaptability of enzymes to non-natural substrates, the molecular design and directed evolution of key enzymes research are carried out to meet the practical application requirements, and then an efficient method for enzyme evolution and artificial synthesis is developed. The laboratory has undertaken several national, provincial and ministerial major projects, such as national 973 program, 863 program, NSFC key program, and key program of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Team members have published papers in Chem Rev., Nature Commun., Angew. Chem., JACS, Metab Eng, ACS Synth. Biol., and other famous international journal.
