The fellow will join the Finno Lab within the Department of Population Health and Reproduction and will contribute to the core mission of the group to understand the role of vitamin E maintaining neural health. Responsibilities: The fellow will conduct studies (e.g. neuro-phenotyping, immunohistochemistry, qRT-PCR, single-cell RNA-sequencing, etc.) that address the role of vitamin E in neurodegeneration in the tocopherol transfer protein (Ttpa)-null mouse model. Further, the fellow will write papers and contribute to grant development and will present at seminars and journal clubs. They will also help students and other fellows in their own studies to advance the mission of the entire group. Required Qualifications: A PhD or equivalent in genetics, neuroscience, molecular biology, or a related field. Significant experience with mouse handling, perfusion and dissections, immunohistochemistry, and molecular techniques (DNA and RNA extraction, qRT-PCR) is required. Preferred Qualifications: An MD or DVM is preferred. Experience with cell culture, mouse phenotyping, and bioinformatics is preferred. Application RequirementsDocument requirements
