Position description

The Stein Eye Institute at UCLA provides a multidisciplinary research environment among scientists and clinicians, investigating gene activities, connecting genotypes and phenotypes at the molecular level in the vertebrate eye. We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in our laboratory. Our current investigations encompass spatial transcriptomics at the single-cell levels in various tissues within the vertebrate eye (iScience 10,66–79, 2018). We investigate both murine and human paradigms. We are involved in the characterization of gene activity in various developing tissues at the protein and transcriptional levels through multi-omics approaches involving protein and RNA sequencing. We are seeking candidates with backgrounds in biochemistry and cell and molecular biology.
