The Faculty of Science at the University of Bern, Switzerland, invites applications for a Professorship (Open Rank) in Molecular and Cellular Plant Biology
The Institute of Plant Sciences conducts research and teaching at all levels of biological organization. To complement our team, we seek a colleague with an excellent scientific track record, a clear research and teaching vision and proven teaching and communication skills. The successful candidate should complement the current scientific strengths and methods of the Institute of Plant Sciences and appreciate its broad and integrative research portfolio. The candidate is expected to use state-of-the-art experimental approaches to address fundamental questions and to establish a complementary and independent research program in the field of Molecular and Cellular Plant Biology. Research areas may include, but are not limited to, molecular biology of plant environment interactions, cellular signaling and its physiological consequences, physiological mechanisms and genomics of growth and reproduction and biochemistry of primary and secondary metabolism.
