Research Assistant in Biomedical Sciences (University of Chicago)

Description The University of Chicago's Department of Family Medicine/Institute for Population and Precision Health in the Biological Sciences Division is searching for a Research Assistant Professor whose primary activity will be academic research in association with a faculty member or team. The appointee will primarily conduct research applying advanced machine learning/AI (including techniques like deep learning) to analyze complex biological and clinical data (e.g., single-cell multi-omics, microbiome, imaging, transcriptomics, EHR) within the fields of precision health, immunology, metabolism, genetics and population health. Position Responsibilities The appointee will be expected to develop an independent, externally-funded research program that leverages their computational and biological systems expertise to complement existing research at UChicago. Responsibilities will also include supervising graduate students and/or postdoctoral researchers. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
