You will work on innovative T-cell and antibody target discovery, evaluating immunogenicity, protective capacity, and biological function in mouse models using advanced vaccine platforms including mRNA and viral vectors. Key Responsibilities Laboratory & Experimental Work Work effectively within a collaborative research team to support project goals. Set up, monitor, and conduct experiments under broad direction, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols. Perform animal handling and procedures (injections—IP, IV, IM; monitoring; organ harvesting; euthanasia). Conduct immunology assays: ELISA, flow cytometry, ELISpot with murine and/or human samples. Execute molecular biology techniques, including RNA extraction and RT-qPCR. Prepare vaccine constructs (mRNA, plasmid DNA, recombinant viral vectors) using new platforms. Research Operations & Documentation Prepare reagents, chemicals, and maintain laboratory inventories (materials, databases, notebooks). Develop and maintain SOPs and detailed experimental documentation. Troubleshoot experimental issues and assist with data interpretation. Prepare technical reports, contribute to progress updates, and support milestone tracking and financial administration. Research Contribution Assist in the design and execution of major experiments and research programs. Interpret experimental results and present findings in laboratory meetings. Safety Support safe and efficient use of equipment, methodologies, and infrastructure. Ensure correct storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals, equipment, and biological materials. About You Essential qualifications and attributes: Bachelor’s degree in science (biomedical science, immunology, cell biology, or related field). Experience with mouse models and animal handling. Skills in cellular and molecular immunology (ELISA, flow cytometry, ELISpot). Experience in molecular biology (RNA extraction, RT-qPCR). High-level computer literacy, including MS Office and GraphPad Prism. Strong ability to learn new techniques in molecular biology, immunology, and vaccine delivery. Excellent organisational and lab management skills; ability to meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. High accuracy and commitment to excellent research practice. Understanding of OHS requirements and laboratory accreditation schemes. Curiosity, creativity, and strong self-motivation.
