The Tay Lab (Department of Developmental Biology, Institute of Biology I) seeks a

Research Assistant

Part-time position (50 %), Start-date: 01.08.2019

A commitment of at least 12 months is required for the research project.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • molecular biology (genotyping, cell isolation from mouse tissues)
  • histology and microscopy
  • lab organisation
  • working with students/interns

The candidate should:

  • possess a qualification as BTA, MTA or equivalent
  • be experienced in molecular biology techniques and histology
  • (preferably) be experienced in fluorescence/confocal imaging (training to be provided)
  • (preferably) possess the Felasa B certification
  • be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • have a good command of English and German
  • be very meticulous and well-organised
  • be able to work independently
  • be a good communicator and team player
  • like to work in a diverse and international environment
