Position Overview Biochemistry is hiring a temporary one-month position as a Research Scholar to investigate the inhibition of the MESH1 enzyme and genetic manipulation of E. coli and Pseudomonas strains for investigations of novel antibiotics. Minimum Requirements PhD in a relevant field Demonstrated expertise in MESH1 biochemistry, enzymology, and bacterial genetics Responsibilities Conduct experiments with MESH1 enzyme Genetic manipulation of E. coli and Pseudomonas Contribute to lab upkeep and assist other lab members with gene expression analyses Employment Conditions This is a temporary 1-month appointment The position is located at the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC Work is performed on-site or at a designated assignment location Application Screening Screening continues until the position is filled.
