This position is located in Camrose, Alberta. 


The Department of Science at the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus invites applications for a term instructor position in Biology. This position involves responsibility for the teaching a lecture section and between two to three lab sections in the 2020 Winter term. The course is listed as AUBIO 253 Ecological Interactions, and serves as an introduction to basic concepts in ecology and the methods used to study ecological interactions. The majority of students enrolled in this class are Biology and Environmental Science/Studies majors.

 

For the 2020 Winter semester, the lectures will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:15pm - 13:45pm, and lab sections will take place on Wednesdays from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Thursdays from 8:30 am – 11:30 am and from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Fridays from 8:30am – 11:30am, and they will cover an 11-week term (January 27th to April 20th, 2020).  It is expected that the term lecturer will teach between two and three lab sections of the four lab sections listed above.

This position is in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) Agreement of the University of Alberta. It has an appointment from January 1 to April 30, 2020, and is subject to budgetary approval. Salary is commensurate with experience in accordance with the ATS Agreement which also stipulates benefits.
